Salman Khan has been called “the man who tutored his cousin and started a revolution.” Khan has been profiled by 60 Minutes, featured on the cover of Forbes Magazine, and recognized as one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World”. The "revolution" the former American hedge fund analyst founded in 2008 as an extension of his tutoring is the nonprofit education website Khan Academy, an organization on a mission, with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education for anyone anywhere. It’s the most-used library of educational lessons on the web. Khan Academy provides videos in math, finance, computing, biology, art history and other subjects in multiple languages. If you enjoy using Khan Academy there is also a mobile app which includes everything that is available on the website.
It doesn't matter what your education background is or how long you have been away from the classroom, like they say at Khan Academy, “You only have to know one thing: You can learn anything.” Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge. Watch this video tutorial for an introduction to getting started with Khan Academy.
