Compassionate Help When You Need to Talk About End-of-Life Care

It can be hard but it's important to have a conversation about end-of-life care before it's too late.

The Conversation Project is dedicated to helping people talk to family and friends about what they want for end-of-life care before it’s too late. Run by a team of seasoned professionals, including lawyers who work pro bono, and in collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, The Conversation Project offers a free "Conversation Starter Kit” to help when someone is ready to tell loved ones about their wishes, or to help a friend or family member to help someone else get ready to talk. You can view the starter kit step-by-step online or you can register and download it. Answers can be typed in directly and saved electronically and then when it's finished it can be emailed. The starter kit is available in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin. There is also a pediatric starter kit for parents or grandparents of seriously ill children. The website also has many inspiring testimonials and it showcases helpful news stories that are relevant to end-of-life issues.
