AgingCare.com has free online Support Groups where caregivers can meet other caregivers and “experts in every field of elder care”. Here caregivers will find online forums dedicated to spouses and loved ones dealing with those suffering from Alzheimer’s, arthritis, Parkinson’s, and other health issues along with forums about various topics such as legal issues, finances, and grief.
ALZConnected®, from the Alzheimer's Association®, is a free online community for caregivers of those affected by Alzheimer's or another dementia. There is also a support forum that provides a safe place for people with Alzheimer’s to connect.
The Caregiver Action Network is a non-profit organization that provides free education, peer support, and resources to family caregivers across the United States who care for sick, disabled, and elderly loved ones. An online forum is available. Topic discussions are viewable without an account but to participate in discussions you need to register and be logged in.
The Caregiver Online Group is affiliated with the Family Caregiver Alliance. It’s “an unmoderated group for families, partners and other caregivers of adults with disorders such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injury and other chronic debilitating health conditions.”
Inspire.com has an online forum specifically for caregivers. In addition, there is also a long list of forums focused on specific health and wellness issues.
ParentingOurParents.org offers an online community where caregivers can make meaningful connections with others caring for aging parents. POP Community is free and includes access to many other resources and advice from founder and licensed psychotherapist, Jane Wolf Waterman, M.S.W., J.D. and her team of certified experts.
